Close your eyes
Forget those ties
Let the mystery end
So magic can begin

Notes from listeners
Oh, Sandra. Oh, Sandra.
I’ve been listening again all this morning and even now. I don’t speak kindly, but truthfully, if once again, I shout out praises for this album. It is incredible.
Each song has its strikingly individual qualities, and yet they seem in unity with each other. The message throughout is hopeful, but it is hard to miss the moments that evoke an intense sense of déjà vu, hard to miss the kind of self-reflexive scream out of a life of creative persistence, hard to miss the occasional pained and beautifully haunting air, especially in songs like “Sometimes I Wonder”, “Similes of Love” and “A Rose Without a Name”.
This record deserves the widest recognition possible. It stands squarely in the modern folk tradition, but it is just so fresh in itself. So many layers. It grows on the listener and immediately becomes memorable.
It is a singularly impressive addition to the folk tradition.
